Donna Stavis 0 Posted November 12, 2010 Ha! I'd love to see two seconds after this when he's throwing them over his head. Great composition. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted November 12, 2010 Thanks Donna. He was having so much fun. He was throwing them in the air, running, jumping, rolling around and laughing. His grandfather was helping him. I was using continuous shoot mode for the first time and got shots of the whole thing. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted November 13, 2010 Great fall/kid shot. A like the pile in the foreground and the way the light is picked up and the colors aren't overdone. I like the hint of two people in the background and the focus is very effective. Picking up on what Donna said, I do think it would be great were there a little motion captured here, though I understand that some people would prefer the freeze in time. I sort of feel the motion's potential but am not able fully to let go into it because of the freeze. Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted November 14, 2010 You have a point. There was a lot of wonderful movement going on here. I wish now that I thought to try a few shots with a slower shutter speed. Thanks for the suggestion. Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted November 14, 2010 I can't say I've seen a better interpretation of the celebration of the autumn season as this. Delightful in every way. It looks like this has been shot in fairly bright sunlight, yet you have managed to capture all the detail where it matters most, and the colour appears warm but retains a natural tone.Sincere Compliments.Alf Link to comment
steveshinn 0 Posted November 14, 2010 Hi Linda,You have a beautiful image of a perfect moment. My only suggestion would be to make the dof more shallow (or adjust it using Lens Blur ) to make this little cutie stand out even more. This is a rather quick redo and may be a bit more than needed. tahir1 0 Posted November 14, 2010 Linda,A gorgeous fall image, perfectly timed and captured! I agree with Steve: Perhaps slightly more blur of the background.Tahir Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted November 14, 2010 I agree with Steve, too. I was finding the background on the left a little distracting. Cute shot, though! Link to comment
