gsphotoguy 3 Posted November 11, 2010 After working togather in May we decided to do an outdoor session this past week. We went to a New Jersey State Park early in the day and worked there. We did run into a few other people but no one seemed too surprised. Link to comment

wmc718 3 Posted November 12, 2010 Very nice shot Mark! Have you ever noticed how the pubic hair (especially dark) on a woman lends to the femininity, eroticism and symmetry of especially the B&W nude, or is it just me? Tell your model good for her for not joining the crowd of baldies!I like it a lot, and a good choice and use of a model too (which, as we all know, is a very important element of the image)! davidmccracken 2 Posted November 12, 2010 There is something about the nude and nature. It is something I should try to do more. Doing it in May is probably more appealing to the model than in the depths of winter. Having said that, watch this space as they say.Shooting in a place where there are a lot of hard shadow caused by trees is a very difficult thing to control. You have done it masterfully. gsphotoguy 3 Posted November 12, 2010 Thank you all for the comments.Niki - This image was made about 9:00 a.m. and there was direct sun here. Getting contrast was not an issue:-)Michael - Normally I don't like discussions based on physical attributes of the model but understand your thoughts on pubic hair. This is one of the things I like about working with Katy_T.David - This is my first attempt at the nude in nature. Any outdoor photographs of nudes I've done before have been on a studio roof. We had a pretty good day for early November in New Jersey. The temperature was 40's to low 50's F but the sun felt warm. The next time will be in May, maybe at a nude beach:-) Hard shadows were a problem at this location. Others in this folder were not as good. Other locations had more open shade and were easier.-Mark Link to comment

jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted December 19, 2011 Excellent composition using the powerful props nature provides, and nice handling of the direct low sunlight. Katy-T is a wonderful model - I nearly worked with her in England but the opportunity didn't quite work out (BTW I agree with Michael C).I hope you will be inspired to do more "nude in nature" shots...Best wishes, JonathanPS I just saw that you have done some very nice beach sessions including another of Katy Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted December 20, 2011 Jonathan - Thank you for the wonderful comment.Katy_T is amazing to work with. We have done three sessions and expect to do more in the future. I hope you get your chance too.On a "reality" TV show called "Work of Art" on the Bravo Channel, there was a discussion about the return of pubic hair, a trend I too fully support although, I do work with models who shave also.-Mark Link to comment
