Pierre Dumas 231 Posted November 11, 2010 I have a picture of this spectacle too, but with wider focal length lens used! Maybe this one is taken from a boat, but the lack of perspective tells me that tele lens was used!PDE Link to comment
museebfoto 2 Posted November 11, 2010 Pierre: you are right, this picture was taken with a zoom lens at focal length of 105mm and from a boat.Thank you Saad SalemThank you Pierre Dumas Link to comment

margaret1 0 Posted November 19, 2010 This looks like something that belongs in a museum. The colors are stunning. The composition is well done. I am glad you were on the boat and able to capture such a wonderful image. Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted November 22, 2010 I agree that the composition is good, all the more so considering it was taken from a moving boat. You lucked out on the lighting which is side-back & provides a three dimensional appearance to the scene. As a thumbnail this one appeared, at first glance, to be the better of your two renderings of this location but I find the sky area in this one not to be to my liking. Too obviously manipulated. But then, I'm not a fan of Picasso either so don't be offended if your artistic bent doesn't appeal to everyone. The sky in the other shot is very bland & uninteresting with very little way to disguise it. Best, LM. Link to comment
museebfoto 2 Posted November 22, 2010 Dear lenI am nonplused, not the manipulated nor the semi natural one!. Anyhow, be sure I am very happy with your comment and I will never be offended if my point of view or let me use your phrase "artistic bent" doesn't appeal to everyone because I understand this is very difficult to reach.
