Taste is very personal of course everybody has the own taste, but

honestly would try to understand why someone rate with 3 without explain

the reason ... Its not because is mine ( i ve seen a lot of very good or

better photos badly rated ) but i dont really think it worth so low rate: Tank

for your time and attention

FABRIZIO.. IGNORE THE 3S... NOT EVERYONE IS CAPABLE OF RATING PICTURES ON A PROFESSIONAL OR EVEN  ON A NOVICE LEVEL,,, AND THAT IS WHY THEY WOULDNT BE ABLE TO TELL YOU WHY THEY RATE 3S... GREAT D.O.F AND CONTRAST... I JUST WISH WE COULD SEE MORE OF HIS FACE... ALL THE BEST SAMME

Very interesting and unusual look. I agree with Samme, too bad he didn't turn just a little to the left.

Fabrizio, your pictures are well admired by many. opt out of that numbers rating nonsense, and allow critiques only. without people enjoying our art, why the hell would we do it? art is social; it's congregational. that said, your contrast skill here makes for a dramatic scene. the subject is a classic. i prefer the profile because you've captured its bountiful character. this old style gentlemen could be any one of his kind. and, for me, the subject is the way of smoking in his style and what it tells us about his lifestyle, not the smoker himself. (so please, opt out of the numbers game if they hurt you.) donna

Fabrizio, This has really great B/W tones. I agree with some of the previous comments about seeing more of the face, or at least a more true profile. I love the way you've framed the figure and the formality of his dress. The light background works very well against the darkness of his suit and helps to underscore the mood of the image.

I very much like the way you photographed this man. ( en profile )  It makes for a more interesting capture, imo, (as it appears he has a slightly sunken face -- possibly due to (the lack of) dentures) and it also allows for a predominant focus on his hand with the cigarette... Wonderful B&W as well. Compliments, Fabrizio..!

Your processing here is excellent Fabrizio.  I remember this man from your other street shots, the position of his body was different but this one I prefer I think.  You are relentless in your pursuit  for perfection. I admire your 'drive' and the beautiful results you achieve.  Do not let the mind and heartless 'soil' your vigor or pursuit....you know in your own heart what a good photo is.  Try to to stray from what YOU KNOW...........Gail
