That is insanely wild, and a great use of the HDR. The only thing I might suggest is a slight crop if you can to get rid of the small bright area in the upper left corner region.

Cannon Beach is an awesome place to take photos. And this is one of the best: original and well done.

Out of  your Cannon Beach images, I like this  the most. IMHO, I would level the horizon. The clouds  are  very dramatic. Do you used HDR technic? The  sky is  surreal.

Yes I used HDR on this shot but not very heavily as it was just such a perfect heavy sky. About 5 minutes after I took this I got soaked to the skin and another 30 minutes later the sky was diferent again. It really is an amazing place to visit. I try and get there once every couple of years from England.

William, what a fantastic dramatic image, you have presented it well, you have not used HDR in a way that is often tacky in my view. I really like this and rate it 6. I will be going to Oregon coast in May, any tips? All the best to you and your family in 2012

sky is brutal, same time beautiful, reflection at bottom creates amazing mood to this capture, well done William!!
