Sometimes photos, particularly the more bizarre and surreal ones,

should speak for themselves, and this is one of those photos for

now. Your ratings, critiques, and observations are invited and most

welcome. If you rate harshly or wish to just make an observation,

please submit a helpful and constructive comment; thanks in advance

for sharing your photographic knowledge. Enjoy! (and tell me what is

happening here, would you, if you think you know?) John

I was at Maydan (Kiev's Center) and walked across the street, after talking with friends who are artists, and saw this behind a building.

Who can pass up such a scene.  If I hadn't worked my way to the front, I never would have seen this; passersby has no idea it was happening.

But I was there, and of course recording this scene for posterity.

But I have no idea of who or what the Giant Panda stands for (and I suppose it doesn't really matter, does it).  This photo stands on its own - it needs no explanation in its surrealness.

I keep running into the most interesting things.

And because I have a camera, I tend to get in a position to really 'see' them as opposed to passersby who 'shy away' and merely catch a glimpse.

That's an advantage of actually doing 'street' -- one gets an excuse to work one's way to the front.

For a real, legitimate reason.

thanks Svetlana,

john
