billsymmons 0 Posted October 28, 2010 Birte. Your photography reminds me of Don McCullin or Gene Smith's work in parts of the world that man has allowed decency and conscience to be ignored. I got into photography admiring their work and dedication. In the same way I admire yours. You bring artistic skill to your cause and speak to the world through your camera. Don't stop, people can make a difference. My compliments, Bill Link to comment
vikingman 0 Posted October 28, 2010 Had a look at the book, good work Birte. Hope you have success in educating people about these shocking chapters of history and the ongoing present day crisis in the roo population. As a UK citizen I often feel gutted at the shocking behaviour of my countrymen in days gone by. Unfortunately history repeats itself, and one of mankind's specialities is it's capacity for cruelty towards, those of other races/creeds and animals. Keeping clicking, keep exposing. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted October 29, 2010 hi Birte.. HORRIFYING! Is it ignorance, lack of compassion , stupidity, or lack of self love that would make someone do this? the metaphor here is the brite red blood trickling from his insides... it looks like a bow a red ribbon of sorts for the hunter. i think we need to be educated and we need to be led down a path of more positive thinking. so many of us need to cut something down in order to falsely build ourselves up..... thanks for making me more aware Birte... samme Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted October 31, 2010 It's sad to say, but this behaviour does not surprise me at all. Listen to the ngihtly news on TV, hopefully you're not eating while you do. Man's inhumanity to man, let alone beautiful wildlife is something that I do not think will ever change. Bloodsport....mindless and meant to SHOCK AND HORRIFY. We are a world gone astray, following the ancients. Children playing electronic games of war and indececy, adults who revel in imagining all sort of indecency to innocents...they walk among us,You speak the words of the 'silenced' Birte. They will always need a voice. How many times can a heart 'break' for the love of the downtrodden, human and animal. Haunting image. Yet necessary to bring attention to this 'crime'. Link to comment
