Hi Francesco!

It's a great capture, good comp and light- control. Love the combinations of colors that make the image vivid and alive. The huge monumental room and the tiny chairs with the person in really gives a fantastic feeling of space and contrasts. Beautifully framed, Well done!

Best Ingolf.

Francesco, beautiful colors and interesting scene that catches the eyes. The green and red are of course complementary colors so what wakes up the attention and provoke the eye of the view are the yellow and orange chairs.

I have some problems with the composition. As I see it there are two scenes here. One of the three very beautiful high windows with shutters and their very attractive greens. This is a picture by itself. But, then we have another subject for our attention, the five chairs in a row and the red-haired lady.

Putting these two scenes together as you have seemly intentionally done creates a tension and unbalance that I find less succeeded.  If I'm right, and I might surely be wrong, one way of answering the problem would be to crop and centre on the five chairs and the (two) tall windows behind. I will not upload my suggestion, but can do it if you wish so.

I love the composition and light; great title too! I like how you have placed the chairs off center, but the girl in the center. Very well done! Thank you for sharing. :)

High quality image which is well composed and lit. Odd numbers of things (1 person, 3 windows, 5 chairs) is exactly right. Very well done.

Francesco, thank you for the info. The color play is even more appropriate knowing the context. My main comment was not on you arranging the scene  but your choice of framing it. I would suggest that you yourself try out a portrait frame around the five chairs and the two windows behind. I find that framing preferable to the one you show. Just a suggestion. The scene is needed admirable.

Francesco -

This is an amazing capture that immediately caught my eye. It went straight into my favorites folder along with your "Golden Road" I just finished critiquing. The lighting is perfectly suited to bring out the varied hues. The colors palette is striking. You entitled this so appropriately. Is the woman viewing the sky and sun through these incredible windows? She might be viewing her life in a moment of introspection as she gazes through the windows to the outside world. This is a deeply mood evoking work. Her red hair adds beauty and interest. The hues of the chairs and wall play perfectly off each other. Your composition and subject selection are an easy 7/7. All The Best, Catherine
