Guest Guest Posted October 25, 2010 She's adorable Albert!A few suggestions on the photo. It is awfully right heavy, there is way too much wasted space to the left. I like the hi-key effect but it looks a little too high key.I removed some of the wasted space and dropped the mid and lower exposure values a little with PS curves. What do you think? Link to comment
anderseningolf 0 Posted October 25, 2010 I really like this photo and both the composition and subject are very good. The little boys eyes are cathcing the viewer and are a great and strong focalpoint in the image. I do agree that the high key are a little to overdone and gives an apperance of "washout" in higlights. Would try to get some more contrasts. Ovrerall a very good photo with many potentials.well done! (I.A.) Link to comment
jerrymat 4 Posted October 26, 2010 I had to look up "SOOC" to find out it means straight out of the camera. That makes as much sense to me as unfrosted cake - straight out of the ovenunpeeled bananas - straight off the plantunchilled beer - straight from fermentation unground pepper - right out of the bottleunfitted suits - right from the rackunpeeled onions - right from the groundWe modify things to make them better - camera produced images are the equivalent of film that was "drug store processed." Usually the results were poor to lousy. One had to build a darkroom or pay a professional lab to get good results. Are good results of your children's photos not interesting to you?Jerry Link to comment
joeysphoto 0 Posted October 26, 2010 Thanks Scott...agree the comp may be a bit heavy on the right but thats my style...like to break the rules now and then. Agree the high key a bit to high. Thanks IngolfJerry....The aim is to get it right IN camera......... Link to comment
