This is a really beautiful pastoral.  I love your choice of saturation for the pumpkins, which brings out the colors even in the distant mist, while stopping right on this side of "too much".

You did a very good job of capturing the early morning autumn feeling. Make sure you return there on Halloween to wait for the Great Pumpkin to rise and distribute toys to all the good boys and girls. Bring your camera.

Speaking as a photographer, I agree with john - the high sat really lets the pumpkins jumps out at you.

Speaking as a vegetable gardener, wow! What a great patch of squash!!!

Thanks John.  I was not sure if I was too heavy, and was definitely being careful with respect to the saturation.  I have seen many of my photo club members' work where they have definitely been "heavy-handed" with this, and it has ruined a great shot.

James, thanks for the comments as well.  I think you also have a great idea about being in this patch Halloween night to look for the Great Pumpkin!  The only possible issue is that we are getting a lot of rain these days, and that field was very soggy before the rain so I may get stuck, and not be able to run from the great Pumpkin if it attacks me!

Marc, I am happy to hear that you agree with what john was mentioning about the saturation, and, yes, this is an awesome squash patch!  I have lived in this area for some time now, but never realized that this pumpkin patch was there!  I will be returning each year to try to find a better composed shot as a friend said he was not sure about that aspect of this shot.  This time, time was against me as I had very little.

Take care you three, and thanks again for stopping by my humble little part of the world!

Thanks Arnold.  I appreciate your input into this one as I am entering it into a monthly theme assignment with our photography club.  Cheers.

Hi Paul,  I love this shot. Good composition and nice colors.

About the saturation, i have two screens here attached to this PC.  One HD and and LCD.  On the HD screen it looks great, a bit on the strong side, but it is just that which gives a nice halloween touch.  On the LCD screen the picture looks a bit dull, and the saturation is not very strong.

The point i want to make is that it might look different on different screens, this is one of the nightmares of digital photography.
