the light, shadows and fall colors all go very well together making this an appealing image. I am thinking about making the skies darker. (6)

Tony, extra thanks for your time. I like your version. It brings out the trees and the sunlight on the path. I can do that  with a gradient coming in at an angle. I'll leave this version here as is.

Great light on this scene.  The dark clouds make most of the sky the same brightness as the ground.
