thorleif 0 Posted October 23, 2010 Congratulations to a good picture, good composition but I would like to see it without a frame. I think it would be better off without. (My personal opinion) Best Regards.. Link to comment
robphotography 0 Posted October 23, 2010 Lovely, i agree w/o the frame could be better, the frame is distracting, (i am complimenting the picture!)Congrats,Rob. Link to comment
JimCowan 0 Posted October 24, 2010 I very much like this image! Interesting comments concerning the frame, my first impression was that I could see this hanging on a wall exactly as you have framed it here. Nicely done!Jim Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted October 26, 2010 It would seem that all the attention on this one pertains to it's frame. Bet you didn't expect that. My first impression was wondering how you managed to produce it. You must be working with a newer version of PS than me. I'm with Jim in thinking that it is most appropriate for the subject. Speaking of your subject, I think it is very nicely composed with just enough of the pot to provide context. The Photoshop manipulation seems just right as well. Very 'Old Worldly'. You've nicely combined photographic and some painterly skills. What would we do without Photoshop today? :-) Best, LM. Link to comment
museebfoto 2 Posted October 27, 2010 Dear friendsThanks to all of you, I appreciate all your opinions and my pleasure to read such good critiques.LenIndeed, this digital alteration is a mixed processing from ACDSee Pro and Photoshop CS2. ACDSee is a very simple yet very powerful program for many tasks. Thanks again Link to comment
dianedh 7 Posted May 8, 2011 Musseb,Many thanks for your nice note about my azalea. Don't worry about yours not blooming this year - mind didn't either. I trimmed them back too late last year. Maybe we'll both be lucky next spring and we'll be able to take beautiful shots. Link to comment
