I very much like this image!  Interesting comments concerning the frame, my first impression was that I could see this hanging on a wall exactly as you have framed it here.  Nicely done!

It would seem that all the attention on this one pertains to it's frame.  Bet you didn't expect that.  My first impression was wondering how you managed to produce it. You must be working with a newer version of PS than me.   I'm with Jim in thinking that it is most appropriate for the subject.  Speaking of your subject,  I think it is very nicely composed with just enough of the pot to provide context.  The Photoshop manipulation seems just right as well.  Very 'Old Worldly'.  You've nicely combined photographic and some painterly skills.  What would we do without Photoshop today?  :-)  Best, LM.

Many thanks for your nice note about my azalea. Don't worry about yours not blooming this year - mind didn't either.  I trimmed them back too late last year.  Maybe we'll both be lucky next spring and we'll be able to take beautiful shots.
