The Owens River at Benton Crossing is a spectacular place to be at sunrise or sunset. From here, you get a true feeling of openness as the land sprawls out in every direction towards the Sierras in the west, the Glass Mountain Ridge to the east and the White Mountains to the southeast. On this evening, I was the only photographer, but there was no shortage of fishermen. I decided to go with a simple comp, a grassy island under a breathtaking Sierra Wave sky. I do love this place!!

A golden image to add to your treasury.  A fine testimony to your artistic ability once again. Kudos, rek.

Peaceful, and pretty. A perfect place to reflect. Excellent composition, and lovely light in this wonderfully open image Mark!

All the best,
Neil

Hello Mark, again you've captured maybe not a "world famous" Californian landscape spot, but no doubt it is very, very beautiful there because of the different, great aesthetics it offers, apparently during sunset or sunrise. Maybe a hidden beauty. Thanks for revealing / sharing. Of course, the photo has excellently been composed by you as well. To me, a very inspiring place (can imagine your feelings / thoughts while watching this scenery) and work. BR / Volker

Thank you Volker and Ricardo! This is one of my favorite places. One main reason is it is not "world famous" and I hope it can stay that way!
