This is a view of the Southern tip of the island with Big Beach and La

Perouse nature preserve in the foreground. The large island in the

distance is Kahoolawe, which was used for target practice by the U.S.

Navy for years. The small dot of an island in between is Molokini where

Tour boats take divers/snorkelers out and it's possible to float on the

surface and see the bottom 120 feet below. But, I was there trying to

catch a rainbow as the first light as it hit the channel where clouds were

dumping rain. No rainbow, but a beautiful morning nonetheless. Aloha!

Very timely and beautiful capture of the islands early light. Thanks also for the location info must be great to be living on such a beautiiful terain. Dominick...  Excellent depth presented here with the cloud banks leading the eye well into the frame.  The rain shower is a bonus for dessert... Mike
