Close-ups" workshop at Pt. Reyes, CA. An excellent workshop led by

Harold Davis.

I'm no expert on macro photography, but the detail here is quite exquisite, the pale colour must have been difficult to capture under the brightly lit studio lighting? whilst still retaining a great deal of the texture. The dark contrasting background serves to make the image look almost 3D

Thanks for your comments.  Your impression of 3D is what I was hoping for, along with your appreciation of the detail.  The lighting was ambient light from a nearby window on a cloudy day.  The background is a piece of black velvet I use for such work.  Thanks again for commenting.
