I like color contrast between calm water, clear sky and warm colors off fall. But there is few points about composition. Horizon line divide your work equally. If you flip this image upside down it will be virtually same image. In same condition always try place horizon lower or up. In one case it show sky that always bigger than land, or land that go some where to horizon. Another word it depend what you would like to show. I hope it help. With all my best, Grigoriy

Beautiful shot.  I don't have trouble with the horizon line mentioned in the previous critique.  I see the image "breaking at the trees where reflected water meets the land.  I also like the grasses in the water in the foreground.  My suggestion would be to try for a darker and bluer sky.  I'd like to see it close to the blue of the water.  This aside, you have a terrific reflection image here.

Linda, I really like this shot.  Besides all the good technical aspects of the shot, it reminds me very much of the Ltd. Edition Prints by Bev Dolittle.  She always painted images of animals into her rocks (Horses, Bears, Eagles, Deer)... If you search her out on the Internet (I'll try to send you a line), but we have a print, Season of the Eagle.  A mountain and reflection....you'd have to see it (if you are not already familiar with her work).  She is classed as a Camoflague Artist.  Her work is popular all over North America...

But I can see images in these rocks, not so many animals but more like Indian Faces. I  think you did a great job on this composition.Great lighting, reflections, the row of fall colored trees is a very nice artistic  contrast to the many dark colors.  Good job...Kudos...Your enjoyment  of your Photography Club is showing in your work.  Sincerely, Gail

My favorite part of the photo is the grass loping through the shallow water in the foreground.  The blue color is wonderful, more intense in the reflection than in the sky.  I wonder why this happens?  The terrain is bare enough to allow the colorful trees to pop.
