Clouds that dark with water that light almost makes me feel that I'm looking at a photo that's upside-down.  It's an interesting idea, but perhaps taken too far in the processing, especially in the clouds.

I've tried standing on my head, but that didn't work (I fell over).  That little patch in the lower left corner looks like a cloud.  My best guess at the moment is that you inverted an image and added the boat to what is really sky.  Am I close?

Alright!  I'm giving myself a pat on the back.  Great way to create a very unique image.  That must be ground fog on top.  Very cool.

I was just coming to the conclusion it was upside down when I read the comments :) Great idea though - I'm all for a bit of innovation.

Thanks, it is actually not fog but a layer of clouds at approximately 25.000 feet. The picture is taken from an aircraft. I work as a pilot so this is a regular view through the front windows just upside down (the camera not the aircraft;), and the boat added for the illusion:)

Stig, next time I think you should roll your aircraft 180 degrees, take a few pictures, then roll back to normal flying orientation.  BTW, do you fly passenger aircraft?  If so, some folks are in for the thrill of their lives, and I'll probably read about you in the newspaper.

Thanks for many comments:)

Yes I fly a passenger jet Stephen... But I would get a lot of trouble with the flight safety department if I tried to roll my 737 upside down....;) (Actually the B-707 was intentionally rolled upside down during a display) It is however very fun to fly smaller aerobatic aeroplanes, and the scenery look a bit like this image when you are upside down..
