Stunning image.  Great lighting and contrast.  Not sure all the space at the top of the image is needed.  If the space is to show that he is alone, I would probably add more blank space on the right of the image and he would then be looking more into "aloneness".  In other words, keep the space at the top if you want, but add more to the right for sure.  Thanks for sharing.  Best regards...Brent

Well exposed and nicely lighted.  I would suggest your considering another aspect of its composition.  If you pay attention to where your eyes look you will see that they spend a lot of time in the space from his eyes to the right margin. This is the active or live space in the picture. You will discover you spend very little time in the inactive or dead space from the back of his head to the left margin.  A simple rule of composition is maximize the live space and minimize the dead space.  You have done just the opposite here.  Others state the idea more simply with the rule: put the nose dead center in the image from left to right.
