A Fence

vishwa

Spot meter. This photo was taken in Sarangkot on a pathway leading down from a sunrise point with views of the Annapurna range. The mountains in the distance are part of the same range in the Himalayas.

This is an image of a fence and the distant Himalayas in Sarangkot,

Nepal. Any comments are welcome. Thanks.

Nice colors, clean lines, and great textures. I like the varied geometry and the way the mountains seem to appear out of the mist high in the sky.

My only real objection is the choice of matt. I don't like the way it blends into the sky. I would think a light grey, maybe even a darker grey or even black, would be nice. The light grey would bring out the mountains. The dark grey or black might give it a finished, formal feel.

If I were you, Vishwanath, I will rush to my computer and, very fast, would change the matt for something that would contrast with the picture without interfering: either black or white. Also, I have doubts about the wall on the left. It might better to crop it off entirely

The way it is now is a real pity since detracts a lot from the intrinsec qualities of an outstanding photograph

Great color and composition. I don`t like how the sky runs into the frame though. The frame sort of detracts from the photo because the color is so close to the color of the sky. Maybe if you put a white or black outline in between the frame and photo to make a clear outline. 6/6

for all your comments. I can see that my framing is causing a lot of grief amongst my fellow photo-netters. I was getting tired of my heavy black frames and hence started picking a color from the image to use for the frame. I will do something about this after I am back from vacation (12/30). Thanks for the comments again.

A wonderful blend of color, hue, texture and composition. Although I do love mountains, I feel as though the white snow caps are just a little distracting. My eyes fly to those snowy peaks.

Nice photo. I would straighten this photo with a perspective correction filter, just to get the wall

on the left look vertical. That perhaps won't add much to the beauty of this photo-- it is so beautiful as it is-- but my mind will stop looking for that tilt ;-)

personaly, I do not like the boarder....it is too close to the sky colour, and it confuses the eye, where does the photo end, and the boarder begin??

This pictorial is evocative of the mindboggling immensity of the Himalayas and pastoral beauty of Nepal, it may not be easy for people unfamiliar with the Himalayas to grasp the feeling of insignificance that overwhelms you like no other mountain does. Congrats.

I have to give 10 out of 10 for simplistic beauty. Using the fence, the wall and the mountains , i think you have created a masterpiece. Iam very much moved by this picture.

Great composition. Two complementing rectangles and an inverted traingle at the top. Superb, very visually pleasing shot. Shades of brown and shades of blue well distributed in the picture. I dont care much for the border. AT first i thought the wall and the fence will compete for attention, but they do not. They are creating balance. Once again, well done.

THe blue matt is ok but remember to give thin framming outline, the image is simple & thats why it arrtacts, Simplicity is hard to acheive. Good work done!

This, I think, is the most beautiful shot in your portfolio..very unique ..I don't like the blue border, but that's insignificant. The color of fence abd the bricks match and make a terrific contrast to the whole scene. Excellent work.. It couldn't be better.
