The framing of the hair doesn't work for me--squashed at the sides and apparently piled up on top creates an unnerving, almost trans-sexual effect. I would be inclined to crop the image just above the hairline.

Trans-sexual? What did you mean? This is my son 14 years old. Have you ever seen a jap. carcoon? I think that many boys, like my son, loves to have hair like the cartoons heros. 

It wasn't a comment about your son, just about the way the photograph is framed.
