Thanks, Craig Philpott and Ray House for your detailed feedback.  I've toned down the saturation in this image a bit.  Thanks again for viewing and for your feedback.  It is greatly appreciated. :)  Tanni

Tanni,

Love the idea. This is such a great place to photograph.

I wanted to mention that your recent series of desert  images looks too saturated on my monitor (extreme bright here). Do you embed the color profile? The reason that I ask, is that did not seem to be the case with other images your have posted in previous years. I recently had an issue with a weird color shift when saving in jpg.  The images would appear fine in one web browser but too saturated in another (since some browsers will ignore embedded profile). It was particularly noticeable with the Wave area images. I finally fixed it following

Please ignore this if extra saturation is intentional.

Best regards,

Marianna

Cool shot.  Nice to see this place with clouds (and pleasing ones at that) for a change, but the best part is the person "flying with newly found freedom."  It's the addition of the green and especially the perspective she provides on how large this area really is that I like.

Nice but the clouds are not nearly bright enough for the rest of the scene. There's no way this could have looked like this in reality. The clouds should be at least 1 stop brighter if not more.

Tanni, another wonderful creation from you. I love your colors and perspectives and this one is very good. It does look like a skateboard park!  I like how you are experimenting with putting people in the shots and this one works well. Warm regards,

Yeah, I think Brett makes a good point about the brightness of the clouds -- they are a bit underexposed for the scene.  I like the patterns of the clouds; if they were brighter, they would balance the scene better.  [i'm guessing they are relatively dark because you increased the contrast there.  Sometimes it's difficult to have both -- brightness and good contrast.]

Interesting picture.  Usually I am not into picture with the object exactly in the middle.  Here it works well.  Also the green works well.

Best regards,

Ben

A beautiful, and original, image of this much photographed location Tanni! The sky gives this a very surreal appearance, and the jumping freedom lover really adds interest to the image. Well done!

All the best,
Neil

Thank you All for viewing and for your comments/ratings.

Iren -  This image was taken at Page, AZ

Brett - The sky/cloud is real. None of my images are done by cut & paste.  Another word...WYSIWYG :)

Brett's comment is one of the sad side-effects of the digital age, when photographers (along with the general public) are questioning the authenticity of a photo.  It's happened to me, and it never feels good.  I think the best way to approach this, when one is questioning the authenticity of a significant part of a photo, is to ask first rather than just assume, and to give some specifics that cause one to question the authenticity.  I've seen this before when a sky was added and the clouds were completely out of scale and had a different lighting than the rest of the image; things like that should be identified when asking questions of the owner.  It can be asked here, but personally I see nothing that would lead me to question the authenticity (that's just my opinion).  There have been comments about the processing and whether the clouds were sufficiently white, but in my opinion the solution of stating they may have been added is much too drastic.  All IMO, of course.
