robbie_hochreiter 0 Posted December 19, 2002 Is a great shot of the mountains but the glider is too small. Link to comment
sambal 0 Posted December 19, 2002 Robbie, that's right - I did not even see the parachutist when I took this picture ! The reason was the viewfinder of Sony's Mavica. It does not give much detail. Under certain light conditions (f.i. sun shining on your back) you do not see anything at all on the small screen. So this kind of surprise occurs: finding someone jumping into your picture. derek_prinsloo 0 Posted December 6, 2004 Is this the whole photo - just shrunk down? Or is this a 100% crop (so that we see the jumper as big as your camera could make him)? On a purely technical level, I'd be interested to see how much detail the camera caught. Link to comment
sambal 0 Posted December 6, 2004 Derek, this shot was made with one of the 1st digital cameras, a 0.3 megapixel affair which stored the data on a normal floppy disc. So, this is all it recorded. See also a previous comment I made above. Thanks very much for your interest. Link to comment
derek_prinsloo 0 Posted December 6, 2004 Haha, I remember those cameras. My dad had one, way back when. I didn't recognize the name when I first saw it. Quite a difference compared to the current batch of ultra-small digicams, eh? Link to comment
