Not Here 93 Posted October 13, 2010 Whoa! Fantastic shot with excellent control of the lighting. Almost feel sorry for the little mole, but that's nature and you've captured it perfectly... Mike Link to comment
Bill J Boyd 64,552 Posted October 13, 2010 Now that is a mouthful. This is a first for me; I usually see egrets out in the water catching fish. As usual your image is well composed and tack-sharp. Link to comment

linh dinh 1 Posted October 14, 2010 Strong capture of the bird catch!Bird cannot live by fish alone. Must have steak some times. Nicely done. Best regards, Linh Dinh Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted October 14, 2010 Another wonderful shot Monte, although I feel sorry for the little mouse (go figure, they are rodents, make a mess of your house if they get in, but I'm a 'softie' until I have to do the 'clean up'....germs, bacteria etc) so I shall try to 'concentrate' on the SURVIVIAL OF THE SPECIES....and go on to say just how colorful, detailed and such a very well timed capture.I love the colorful DOF and the beautifu white plummage shows off so nicely. Amazing how the coloring around the eye is so close to the DOF. Congrats Monte! Well done! most sincerely, Gail Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted October 15, 2010 This is an incredibly good shot Monte. I didn't know that these birds, ( is it a crane?) would capture and eat mice. Poor little guy. Nice contrast between the beautiful pure white bird and the grim little victim. Nature isn't always pretty. Warm wishes, Linda Link to comment
