Now that is a mouthful.  This is a first for me; I usually see egrets out in the water catching fish.  As usual your image is well composed and tack-sharp.

Another wonderful shot Monte, although I feel sorry for the little mouse (go figure, they are rodents, make a mess of your house if they get in, but I'm a 'softie' until I have to do the 'clean up'....germs, bacteria etc) so I shall try to 'concentrate'  on the SURVIVIAL OF THE SPECIES....and go on to say just how colorful, detailed and such a very well timed capture.

I love the colorful DOF and the beautifu white plummage shows off so nicely. Amazing how the coloring around the eye is so close to the DOF. Congrats Monte!  Well done! most sincerely, Gail

Ouch....!!!! What a capture !!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an incredibly good shot Monte. I didn't know that these birds, ( is it a crane?) would capture and eat mice. Poor little guy. Nice contrast between the beautiful pure white bird and the grim little victim. Nature isn't always pretty. Warm wishes, Linda
