Excellent capture and different with something passed on to us to think about.

Ok, this looks like cracks from earthquick ? If so, no way will I go and live there or anywhere nearby..........Not good for the fainthearted who are scared of earthquicks, hurricanes, twisters etc. Here in South Africa we are lucky enough not have had any of these disasters.

Have a great day and Warmest Regards

I love this composition with all of Mother Nature's crevasses leading back to the center of the image and the flaming colors of the bushes.  I wonder what time of day this was taken because the ambient lighting seems to be rather one dimensional with few highlights.  I would like to see a little bit more brightness.....that is, of course if it is in keeping with the scene as you saw it.  :-)

Christal, thank you for opinion on this photo, that day was not so good concerning the light, was a cloudy day with a mist on top of the mountains, that why all was a liitle bit to flat, appreciate your comment, thank you once again.

I like your composition, very restrained, focusing in on the rock formation with the Fall colours playing a supportive role by providing a colourful backdrop.  A lovely landscape.

some info about this location that is a natural reservation with mud volcano. This is a part where mud flowed from some small eruption cones.

As the gases erupt from 3000 meters deep towards the surface, through the underground layers of clay and water, they push up underground salty water and mud, so that they overflow through the mouths of the volcanoes, while the gas emerges as bubbles. The mud dries off at the surface, creating a relatively solid conical structure resembling a real volcano. The mud expelled by them is cold, as it comes from inside the Earth's continental crust layers, and not from the mantle.
