The Basilica Cistern, also known as the "Sunken Palace" or "Yerebatan sarayi" in turkish,, was constructed by Justinian in 532 to supply water to the Byzantine Palace primarily.

Perfect colours for such a place. I recently saw on TV that there is an enormous cistern under Tokyo to hold storm water in an emergency. It would be a wonderful pace to take photographes. It is open to the public occasionally.

Sadegh Jaan, You have done it again. Beautiful work. Very lively and mystical colors and great lighting. I specially like the darker cieling in front which lights up with different colors all the way to the back. You have also captured the beautiful texture of the columns.
