...A foggy road in the wood, near my home, with a nostalgic sense of autumn...

Very nice perspective -- I'm glad you got an ample amount of vegetation on the left site.  Two large trees frame the right and left sides, and the soft light/tones fit the photo perfectly.  Great DOF as well.  This is a marvelous photo all around.

Ciao

Thank you for your comments! Andrea, I tried to boost a little the midtone contrast, as well and I think your result is good, but I ended moving the slide to the opposite direction, to lower the contrast and soften the midtones because I think that this best suits the feeling of this shot...

Mark, I appreciate your honesty about the framing... Some people love it; others hate it, but it's a sort of "trademark" of my shots here in Photo.net and a way to enhance my images... But it's only a frame: you can change or delete it, but I hope you still like the image inside...

Alberto.

very interesting composition with tight cropped trees on the edges, and the leading road. given the misty environment i agree that its better to have low contrastas, i also agree about the frame: good to have a trademark. very good photo.

What an elegant capture of the mystery of nature. You've managed to suggest both the textures of the grass and gravel with just enough sharpness, and the softness of the background, coupled with the soft pinkish tint in the black and white conversion just finish the mood. Toast Alberto! Im marking this as a Favourite.
