This sidelined boat was pulled to my eye by the wires overhead. The

image speaks a bit about the seafaring way of life of Nova Scotians.

This really evokes a melancholy feeling. I like the way the old dory seems to be sinking right into the rocks, perhaps it is. It looks like it is fading away. The hydro lines against the gloomy grey sky seem to echo that sad sinking feeling. The grey weathered building look like they have seen better days. It looks like hard times in Peggy's Cove. Well done, I like it.

 

This is a familiar scene to me, as a child I spent summers in Nova Scotia, lived there for a few years as an adult on the Fundy shore.

Linda,  Yours is a terrific critique.  I agree; the image has melancholy overtones. I think that your being familiar with Nova Scotia contributes  to your right on analysis of my innocent travel image.  I really appreciate your taking the time to respond as you did. Thanks.
