Guest Guest Posted October 9, 2010 The water in this image is amazing!A few suggestions. You did a good job placing the horizon close to the top horizontal third, but the canoe and island are pretty much in the dead center, which makes the composition a little static. Also, there is a lot of water in the foreground, which makes the canoe a little small in the frame.By moving the canoe more to a vertical third and cropping out some of the water, you improve the overall composition and make the subject a bigger part of the image, which it should be.
