Simply beautiful!  The leaf is sharp with just the right dof, and the blue tones in the water are amazing.

I agree with Jim, this is exquisite, I love the textures on the leaf and  the contrasting colours are just brillaint. One of your best Tony!

Hi Tony. The colours of the leaf are very nice and contrast well with the blue surrounding. Focusing is also spot on. Well seen and nicely captured nature shot. best regards.

Very nice natural abstract with strong impact with contrasting colors and forms.  My only wish is to remove the upper left greenish-orange reflection.  It's a slight distraction but this is a minor issue for a very nice image.

Very nice work Tony.  Love the colors and crispness of the leave.  My only very small nit i wish the leaf was slightly more to the right, but that's really very minor. Very fine image Tony.  Regards  always - michel

This is beautiful in it's simplicity. The contrast colours are great. The sharp colours of the leaf stands out to the blurry blue water. Love it.

Hello Tony,

there are nice colors and nice contrast. Also the wafes in the water in the background and the static leave in the front making the pic especailly.

I can't find the possibillity to make a rating. I would gif asth. 7 orig. 6.

Greetings Toralf

Wonderful shot, Tony...beautiful colors of water and the leaf itself...red-yellow-orange color of the leaf stand out very well against the backdrop of blue water...the pattern and colors of water is fantastic...my best

This is a beautiful image and I am very comfortable with the little touch of green in the upper left corner. Having that reduces the abstract feeling and gives some reality to the background.

Tony you have a beautiful image with stunning colors.  We don't have maple leaves in Texas, so thanks for sharing.  What I like...sharpness of leaf, deep blue color of the water, floating effect of leaf, yet you can still see the leaf tips submerged.  Overall a very good image.

...but this is also definitely one of them.  Once again, beautiful but mundane reality surrounded by the surreal.

I love fall and this leaf is beautiful with colors.  The water reflections make it a great abstract .  Makes me smile.  Thank You  Gail

As beautiful as this is, I'm going to diverge from the pack on this one.  I think most of the interesting swirls in the water are in the brighter part in the bottom 2/3 of the image.  For me the top portion of this image doesn't add anything.  By cropping rather sharply, it brings out even more dramatically the contrast between the bold leaf color and the water (IMO) and puts the leaf more off-center.  Anyway, I prefer it.....you can see if the idea has any merit to you.   You always so carefully think out your editing, so I'm sure you probably prefer it just the way you have it......which I'll repeat is still knock-dead beautiful!

Hans, Bobby, Electric Picture - thank you and I am glad you liked it.

Gail: what more could I ask if it made you smile.

Christal: The extra effort you put into showing the crop is really appreciated. I feel that both mine and the cropped version have merit. The top left represented some warmly lit shrubs and often i try to include something like that for a bit of 'visual contrast'. With your cropped version there are some green areas that carry out that visual contrast function and I would like to give it serious consideration. Thanks again.
