Guest Guest Posted October 3, 2010 Joanna,She is a beautiful girl. There is very little that I would take exception with in this portrait. Your lighting, contrast, toning, skin tone, focus and her separation from the nicely out of focus background are excellent. Her eye contact with the camera (viewer), catchlights, make-up, expression, highlights on her lips and pose are also excellent.I would like to see just a tad more room in front of her so that she is facing more into the picture. It would give you a little better left and right compositional balance, but I still find the composition quite good. The pattern in her dress is a little bold. It draws my attention away from her lovely face. A plainer dress would work better. With this outfit she seems a little out of place in this setting. It makes it feel more like a fashion shot than a portrait. She is a real stunner! Her hat really frames her well.Nice shot,Mark Link to comment

jerrymat 5 Posted October 4, 2010 Joanna,I think you are batting 99% with this one. The pose, the costume, the lighting and tonalities, the depth of field, the high lights in the eye. The 1% is because of the horizontal whatevers growing out of the back of her head. The background did you in.Jerry Link to comment

wogears 186 Posted October 5, 2010 Excellent portrait of a drop-dead stunner. I especially like the way the b/w minimizes the pattern on her blouse/dress. Link to comment
uspandey 0 Posted October 8, 2010 I keep dreaming of taking such images and I added this one to my favourites the moment I saw it. I do, however, agree with Mark when he says that "just a tad more room in front of her" would give the image a better feeling. Link to comment
