These guys were everywhere on Kauai. They were near local roads and

highways there! I think this is their "national" bird, or at least

representative for Kauai!

The thumbnail doesn't do the image justice.  It's a great shot!

Not so often you can see real rooster's photo. Today most of them white, genetically modified.  Well done! 

Thank you Grigoriy.  Kauai, where I took this shot, does not have to worry about losing their roosters as chickens and roosters roam freely all over the island!  This guy was hanging out by an ice cream stand near the resort we were staying at in Kapaa.  Take care, and thanks for stopping by my humble portfolio.
