I really like the composition and pose. The reflection adds the interest. But in my opinion, this photo has a yellow/green cast should should be corrected. Congrats.

Linda,

Perhaps the color could be adjusted to have less yellow and the slightest touch more magenta.  What I find is that square format images do not usually have good composition.  I used square format cameras for years but only because one did not have to rotate the camera for verticals - the cropping came later.  I would suggest that this image could most satisfactorally be a vertical one.  I uploaded a suggestion to show you.

I personally find the square format perfect for this shot. It gives it feel of ambience which vertical crop lacks. I love the colors, simply out of this world. It gives this scene a dream like feel. Something I would love to hang on my wall (if they weren't crowded already that is). Colors are stunning, focus is clear and the composition has enough space to breath and dwell in ambience.

Lovely work, very well done. I love it.

Jerry, thanks for taking the time to comment and play with the image.  I tried the vertical crop and found that, for my eyes, I like the square version best.  The image works well as a vertical too-although I would have cropped off a little less of the image on the right.  See my comments to Raymond about the yellow cast.

Linda, this has a very nice "water nymph" feeling and the reflective look from the model makes it an intimate moment in time. The colours are not neutral and \i assume that the feel of the image using the colours you have was a personal choice. I think it was a great choice, there is an air of fantasy and sunny seclusion imparted that really works for me.

Very good work.

All my best,  Bill

After looking at both crops, I think I like the square one too......not sure why, but it works for me.  I haven't found your comments about the yellow cast, but the skin tones are a little yellow for me also.  I do really like the pose of your model and how it works so well with the reflection.  The whole image immediately made me think of a Monet painting.  Well done!

After looking at the alternative, I certainly thank the gentleman for his effort but your original is much better. This is a wonderful infusion of just the right colours. No need to add anything else to it.

I suppose we all have to get in our two cents or so.  I love the image.  The square crop works for me best.  I like the setting and the lovely surrounding colors as well as the model, of course.  The reflection and the nice "v" formed by her right arm work very well. But I do think her skin is a bit too yellow.  It almost seems unnatural in a very natural setting.  All and all a great shot.

A most lovely and well made image... Love the reflection I do and it suits me fine that it is centered in the frame. If I were to crop it at all, which I don't think I would, it would be on the left side. I'd keep all that marvelous color on the right. Croping the left side would add a bit of tension too it would having the figure up against the side of the image she is facing with 'no place to move into'.
Cheers, Raymond

Excellent, beautiful colour and composition, and without doubt, alongside with the other viewers,  I prefer the original version to that of the submitted crop which only serves to remove the poetry, bravo.
