gordonjb 10,860 Posted September 30, 2010 Another in what has become an ongoing series. In this instance I metered for the car interior letting the exterior scene blow away. I further accentuated the exposure difference during post production. All comments, general reactions or suggestions gratefully appreciated. I am always unsure of what category to post these under,This is not fine art nor do I think of this as automotive, I suppose the dog is somebody pets however it is not a pet portrait. This was taken on a street so that is the category I chose. Link to comment
yann1 0 Posted October 1, 2010 It's a street photo all right. The overexposure works very well and adds to the composition. It's very well done, I only wish to see a bit more of the dog. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 2, 2010 Although this is part of the dogs in cars series, it seems only incidentally about the dog and more about the composition itself. It works more as an abstract especially since most of the detail of the upper and lower arcs has been washed away by your choice of exposure leaving primarily the graphic elements which set off the more nuanced tones of the interior. pnital 36 Posted October 3, 2010 Looking at it again I agree with Jack, even though it belongs to the series, the dog is a nice addition to this interesting diagonal composition.I like the high key treatment, the in/out car parts, the reflections and the dog as the "driver"...;-)) This photo grows on me. It is well seen , observed ,and executed. Link to comment
Apurva Madia 0 Posted October 6, 2010 This picture is one of the best street shots. Great composition and exposure. Bravo. Link to comment
