Hi Charles...... first class image. Great detail in the plumage - good clarity and the use of the prevailing light. Good eye contact.

Frustrating how these raptors always choose to perch at the top of a dead tree with only the sky as a backdrop..... creating a rather stark image. The story of our lives (smiles).

Interesting that you went with 100 iso for this shot. I tend to stick on 200 - 400 iso on bright days...... personal preference I suppose.

Thanks Grayham.  Good analysis and comments.  I stick with ISO 100 to help control Olympus' 4/3 noisy sensor leaving me dependent on sunny days!
