Well here we go again.

Ive come close so many times to just giving up on this place and for some odd reason I come back. Is there any one that could honestly tell me why this got a 3 ? I take thousands of images and of those images only one will make it here. I work so hard to get images like this and am pretty proud of them PLEASE have the decency to tell me why you would do this. Why do people have to be like this?

Chris,

I share your frustration, i don't know why some people are doing that, maybe they are just envy ?

any case, receiving such a rate for a picture most viewers think otherwise, mean it was not given honestly.

i personally after receiving the same treatment have suggested to photo.net admin to remove the lowest and highest rating from each rated picture, that way, we could remove 'noise'  and get a more honest rating for each rating.

As long as the rating system stays the same, we will continue to suffer.

One of your best Chris. I admire your work and dedication to photography. Well worth a 7 in my opinion. Forget the 3 rating, look on it as someone with a sense of humour or no sense whatsoever had a bad day...:-)))

Chris - a superb job resulting in a superb image with no room for improvement. So it is a seven from me. As difficult as it is, you must ignore and not react to the three ratings - it only gives the person satisfaction and a sense of importance.

Amir: I suggested the same thing (eliminate one low and one high) to Josh Root at least a year or two ago and based on what we have today, they are no plans to adopt it. They could probably argue that if enough people rate the law of averages will even out the ratings. Why not limit people to rating a three just once in a 14 day period.

There is a very tedious way to find out who rated you the three but then what?
