Spectacular looking beasty Christal! Love that color, and excellent detail. The only thing I can think of that I don't like is the fact that I wasn't there to photograph it too ;-)

All the best,
Neil

Thanks for your lovely comment.....it helps bolster my spirits after all of the '3' ratings I've been getting on my recent postings.  :-)    These sea stars aren't far from you.  This color can be found on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island, and I must say that the color took my breath away, especially when the sun shines on them.  I could spend all day looking at marine life in the tide pools!   Good to hear from you!

Incredible color.  This creature looks exhausted -- all done in -- a suggestion of so many other animals (including humans) like two legs, two arms, and a head resting on the rock as if it is too tired to get in a comfortable position, the way my dog sometimes rests her head on the leg of the table, and I wonder how.  The detail is so nice -- gives the feel of a soft and hard texture.  Don't pay attention to the 3s.

You picked up on one of the things that appealed to me about this.  It's his sort of resigned positioning nestled in among the rocks.  There were many of these on the shoreline, but I liked the 'personality' of this one.  Thanks for your comment and encouragement, Donna.

I don't give numerical ratings but if I were to play devil's advocate, I'd say they didn't like the blade of green grass.

I love that the pose looks almost human like.

Haha!  You're probably right, although that perk of green is one of the things I love about it.  It shows the sea star in its natural wild environment.  Oh well.....as they say.....different strokes for different folks. Thanks for stopping by.
