tanni_thai 0 Posted September 28, 2010 What a joke guy. I knew who you are btw. It's ashamed to see you purposely diminished the beauty of its image by keep giving it a rating of 3.If you are man enough, why don't you just give it a reason as to why you think it deserves a 3 rating? Also, if you can't take a decent image like this, then it's better off not to give it such a low rating at 3 as you have been doing currently.I will not delete any of the images even with your low rating of 3s. The intention is not how high the rating is but what I can share with the rest of those out there who also have the same interest like I do in photography. Obviously, you are too narrow-minded to see beyond that. Shame on you!!! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 28, 2010 This is very interesting image ad a work of high quality. You have nailed the exposure and gained tremendous details all over the rocks including the shaded areas,he shade of the person also adds to the fine composition of this wonderful work.Your control over exposing the sky is another credit here and its very appealing with the moving clouds and colors. The 3's put off many members not to post their images a y more, they are scared not to have their work average rating de rated, I think photo.net with all of the good work they have done recently, they still need to work something out for that and check against those low rating and find out who is doing it and why. Thank you for sharing such a great work and wishing you all of the best. Link to comment
Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted September 28, 2010 Tanni, Rashed put it well. You really nailed the "magic hour" with perfect light. I don't always like shadows, but here it works great - nicely placed. This is an excellent shot and you know it. Don't let those 3 raters get to you - I wouldn't waste any time trying to reason with them. They are just trolls trying to get people riled up, or perhaps poor souls who can't take a good picture and have to pull others down to feel good. In any case they are pathetic and not worth our attention. Link to comment
ndj 0 Posted September 29, 2010 Excellent image, well composed, and creative use of the shadows. Love the colors, and lighting. Definitely not a 3 Tanni. I just ignore the lowest, and highest ratings and fly with the middle ground. A 3 rating is absolutely useless unless accompanied by a critique. All the best,Neil Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted September 29, 2010 This image is absolutely beautiful. I agree with Rashed and Neil. They have both explained the beautiful qualities of your work and for me.....I can't even imagine being able to travel and take photographs in such a beautiful spot. Just as with the mountains where Neil lives, with this location, there is never one photo that is just the same. You are so fortunate to have this as your 'work'. I'm sure there must be some drawbacks, as with any job, but I think you experience more SMILES and WOWS than most. Congrats on a fine composition. Those 3 raters are just trying to get EXACTLY the reaction out of you that you experienced. They are not worth your time, energy or finger strokes. When you have a talented mind why attempt to discuss anything with the MINDless ??!! Link to comment
tanni_thai 0 Posted September 29, 2010 Thank you All for viewing and for your critiques/comments/ratings. I too agreed with you all and will ignore those 3 raters from now on. However, it is an on going problem that I think the PN Administration needs to be look at.Gail - It is Me (the shadow) in the picture alright but I was not at work. I only gave it a name only. I wish I have this kind of full time job though ihihihi :)Tanni Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted September 29, 2010 Very good! It's nice to see your work, and see you at work as well.(Great colors, great composition, very good overall result)This is definitely not a 3 rating photo; the problem is not your image, so it has to be them 3 raters.....Don't feel discourage though, ratings only give you the advantage of having more people visiting and looking at your work. It's true value, you know already. For me it's the critiques that count, what really matter and add value to your work and help you progress. Still, I'm glad I could input a rate, and help to take this to the level it deserves.Cheers, Link to comment
