tonyfrench 0 Posted September 29, 2010 Gunnar, I like the simplicity of this image and the starkness in the contrasts. Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted September 30, 2010 In line with the one I've just seen. Would have preferred some more 'room to breathe'but that's mho only. Very impressive work anyway! Compliments Gunnar. Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted October 3, 2010 This is my second look at this stylishly clean cut photo with clarity, that can be seen carrying your trademark style.I like the duality in appearance remembering my first impression I were seeing a extendly wide sofa with softly rounded armrests while the back is sharply cut. Closer look reveals the truth. The reflective table tops (glass?) add life and those tablets link by their color to the parasol. Even that round shadow on parasol links to the chair on right. One small details might need some fine tuning, especially if you were printing this or publishing in your oncoming photobook: I would consider darkening that partially exposed corner that breaks the curved edge above the lefthand corner of the cast shadow. For that kind of detail your editing software should have a Pen tool for creation of a adjustments mask, as I can think how this should be done anyway.BTW Maybe just me but I find the "shoulder" on the wall and the lighter appearance of the parallel running top of the cast shadow as there were an imaginary horizontal support to hold the shadow up.... gunnar1664882369 1 Posted October 3, 2010 Amy, Bengt, Jack, Tony, El and Markku, thanks a lot! Markku, the small detail, you mentioned, disturb me too now. Thank you so much, your words and comments are always extremely useful! Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted October 4, 2010 I must confess that I started pondering how come the would be any corner right there as I estimated this parasol having quadrant form, seen from above. Maybe it has a strange asymmetric construction. Having my focus on this design matter I happened to mention it and told about possible editable solution (alternative being cloning it out, but then again...) Link to comment
