This photo was done as part of a child abuse awareness series. The

stitching on my son's mouth as well as the black and blue on his eye were

digitally added.

While the cause is very laudable, IMHO, the eyes of the boy do not speak of abuse that you might want to suggest. There is a glee in the eyes and almost a suppressed smile which doesnt do justice to the emotion that wanted to evoke.
