mark_q 0 Posted September 27, 2010 To put it simply: Superb! A shining example of being there at the right moment - and having a keen eye for such playful scene. Bravo! In order to have some dialogue, and just clapping my hands in unreserved enthusiasm, I'd love to hear your thoughts about the upper left part of the wall. As it appears now there is clear sign of saturated red channel. This must be the result of post-processing of your original (JPG?), and naturally, if it's intentionally done then OK. Some further tricks would be neccessary to dampen that rather excessive yellow cast. I can fully understand your goal to endorse some warmth to this scene to match the orange and red, and part of it seems to be the WB set on Shade. On the other hand that part of the wall gives false impression of glowing light, although there are no shadows, so everything has it's pros and cons.I mentioned this minor concern because I experience it very often while working on my RAW files; the red channel saturation is a plague on modern digital cameras, as they say elsewhere (dprevie.com's forums). gunnar1664882369 1 Posted September 27, 2010 Hi, Markku! The light condition was rather good - not very bright (it was cloudy and that is why no shadows), not very dark - but not the best to photograph these details and colours on open air. But still quite good light condition to catch all necessary colours and shades. I didn´t touch hue or colour channels. Not much work with saturation, actually, but a huge amount of highlights and contrast is added. Work with additional highlight gives a saturated-like effect (at least in PhotoFiltre software I am using for post-processing).I don´t know what to say about the yellow on upper left corner and whether I am happy or not on this. I thought that the very bright yellow adds some "life" to the picture. I don´t know.I always very much appreciate you constructive comments that help to look at own pictures on different way and ofcourse are useful for improvement. Thank you so much, Markku! mark_q 0 Posted September 27, 2010 I'm plesed to have a contact to such a responsive photographer like you. I learn myself too by commenting more in depth. Good excersise for thinking. This second look at this photo gives a most charming impression of late evening light with it's gentle golden glow, althought just created by editing, but who cares (after all)? Christal1664882414 0 Posted September 28, 2010 I love seeing creativity at work! This is fantastic although there are little technical things with color that could be worked on. Never mind....the idea is such genius that it overshadows everything else. (IMO) :-) Link to comment

Saadsalem 74 Posted September 29, 2010 very nice mixture of street and abstract,I have to wish on you that the handle of the carriage is to be completed in the original composition, and I praise the fact they are completely two images in one,if you just crop horizontally from the middle we will get two fine images of a street and an abstract, and that is too fine. the colors and light are very good too. Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 21, 2010 Sorry I'm so late to the party. Just spectacular work. When it comes to management of color and tone, and expecially the handling of light there are none better. Link to comment
