From the Statue of Liberty to Homer Simpson and his entire family (one

of them characteristically upside down), this is one view of

the 'Regression of American Civilization' or at least about some very

substantial changes in popular culture. Your ratings, critiques and

remarks are invited and most welcome. If you rate harshly, critically or

wish to make a remark, please submit a helpful and constructive

comment; thanks in advance for sharing your photographic knowledge

to help improve my photography. Enjoy! John

This 'Miss Liberty' is from a Hollywood movie lot, and is the Statue of Liberty found rising from the sand at seaside in the original 'Planet of the Apes'.

You too, can buy it, though I did not ask the price.

Same with Homer Simpson, Bart Simpson and all the family, to 'Miss Liberty's right.

The owner of this 'lot' on La Brea on which these folks are parked is quite openly gay, and when he looked at these photos of his wares, he remarked -- 'It's funny, I hadn't realized until right now, that 'Miss Liberty' actually is a Gay Guy'.

He saw in the model of 'Miss Liberty' crafted by some Hollywood technician(s), the 'look' of a 'gay guy'.  Who was I to argue?

I haven't compared this 'face' to that of the original statue to form my own opinion - perhaps you'll do that and advise me.  Is it his gay fancy or is he seeing some 'look' made in the late '60s or early '70s by a movie model maker that has hitherto gone undetected?

All in good fun, of course.
