Hi Grayham;

Nice profile.

A couple of things you might want to play with;

That camera can make some very sharp images but this photo seems a bit off. That could come from Sharpness settings in the camera (I'm not familiar with the settings on the Sony or PS Elements) or post processing.

You may also want to get a noise reduction program like Noise Ninja or other to get rid of the noise, particularly in the background.

Light; looks like you shot this in mid day.  That's always tough to deal with but here you have no total burn out spots here so it could also be handled in post processing.

If you decide to get into full blown Photoshop I would suggest buying it with a student or educator discount.  If you are or are connected to a teacher or student the savings are phenomenal.  Email me if you can't find sites.

Hi Steve.... thanks for taking the time to look at my image. Your comments and suggestions are well-taken.

This image has been severely cropped which I think has lead to the very noisy background... possibly a little tweaking with my limited knowledge of Elemnets 6 has compounded the issue. I continue through "trial and error" and certainly appreciate your input to this image.

Thank you for your kind offer.

Regards
