A very attractive sunset with very saturated colors.

Compositionally, however, I think it could be improved measurably by moving the sun from the center of the image. By placing the sun on the intersection of the left vertical and top horizontal third, it balances the composition better and does make the image less static looking like placing in the center does.

My 2¢, your mileage may vary.

Hi Scott, you are so right! the overall looking of this image is truly improved by simply applying you adjustment. Thank-you very much for your contribution.

if this were my photograph i would composition it thus... rule of thirds... giving primacy to the sunset and then to the bird at left; the craft at right is just a dash, i.e. unidentifiable... another reason is orientation: the direction from which the waves are coming

Rajat, what seem very interesting about your opinion is the fact that choosing the right side to decentralize the sun creates a logical and aesthetic alignment between the direction of the light and the direction of the waves' motion. So putting togheter your and Scott's correction the picture increases its value. Thank-you my friend(s).

Rajat,

By moving the sun to the right vertical third, you cut out a lot of the waves, and therefore a lot of the movement, in the image. The diagonal waves provide good leading lines pointing to the sun, but your crop tends to minimize that.
