cliverapier 0 Posted September 26, 2010 a teacher once told me never to chop a persons chin off.Well Now!, This is the exception to that rule!.Im loving this picture. Link to comment
jerrymat 3 Posted September 26, 2010 David,Perhaps you should call it "Sraight lines & Curves" since it sets up a kind of contrast between them. I think the tiny touch of red is distracting though.Jerry Matchett Link to comment
wood 1 Posted September 26, 2010 Breaking the rules is one way we progress. Unusual, attemtion grabbing, innovative, successful. Keep pushing the envelope. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 2 Posted September 27, 2010 As usual, in your photographs, the details make the image, David. The contrast of the straight lines in the background contrast with the curves of her body. The white background also contrasts well with her black hair. The is a very interesting leading line formed by the part of her hair to her bottom. Finally, her eyes draw the viewer in. I like this very much. Link to comment
wmc718 3 Posted September 28, 2010 David, Hmmmmmm, I made a comment on this image a few days ago - in fact, I think I was the first to comment - and now it's gone. Perhaps I didn't "Confirm" it or something, I don't know.Anyway, I had commented on the interesting alignment of her hair part and her butt crack. Don't know it that was intentional or not, but it's the first thing that jumped out at me. There might be just a whisker too much headroom. I do realize you want quite a bit for the effect.Anyway, I like it... interesting idea. BTW, I've always want to shoot a pretty oriental... would you send her to me now? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted September 28, 2010 Clive, My feeling is you should never chop of anything. If you do, make it deliberate. Thanks a lot.Jerry, I hear you about the touch of red. Many people say it. I was thinking of calling it straight lines and curves but I do have a similarly entitled image on these pages. Thanks!Raymond, You have given me an idea! You know what's coming... don't you?Robert, Yes! The only rules I believe in are my own. Something is either good or not good. I appreciate your comments. Thanks!Mark, I am glad you like this. You like it for the same reasons I do although there are elements here that I don't like. Thanks a lot.Michael, It is good to know you came back to check the image (possibly to see if I had replied.) A few times I have typed a lengthy comment only for my thick fingers to delete everything I had witten. It is doubly humbling that you came back and wrote such a comment. Thanks a lot.
