In the late '60's, all girls did wear very short dresses (whether

they should, or not). They had to be long enough to cover their

bottoms, plus 2".

If you see reruns of films like Blow Up (which was made around then),

you will see what it was like. However, we were used to it then.

Those were the days.

There is an amusing anecdote to this photograph. It was first

published in a "how to" photographic magazine. The text was

about "how to take sharp photographs". I read the article when it was

published. I had taken none of their advice! But, they did pay me for

the illustration.

great tonal range, the lines go nicely into the point of interest of the photo, also the perspective is very interesting

Now this is really great photography ! What a clever usage of the lens here - the legs look endless ! And what a great background, pose, expression...

Fantastic picture ! Congrats.

This is truly fantastic! Those legs seem, as Marc very nicely said, 'endless'. Great angle & composition, great subject, great background, nice contrast & print... terrific shot!!!!!

I really love to see the prints from old days. There's some magical quality in them that I can't tell for sure what it is. Please post more.

I like this image, very David Baily/Mary Quant. I would suggest trying a version with more contrast and moving the image very slightly to the right (seems left heavy) but they're only small points. Nice shot.

Wonderful capture of leggy adolescence. The straw nicely echoes the long curves of her legs, and the WA lens distorts to just the right extent. Fine shot with a worldly knowingness about adolescent girls.

Great 1960s look you've captured here, and the composition is superb. (Oh.. I see that it was actually taken in the Sixties!)
