Sunset tonight

It's not something you can control, but the photo would be so much better if the boats were separated visually from the dark background.  There are digital ways to do this (HDR, manual blends of two or more exposures), but it would have to be done with care to maintain a "natural" appearance (as the eyes might see these boats).

Many thanks my friend, I will try and do that next time. I might even have a go at creating the files from NEF that I have, to overexpose and then blend :)
