interesting... one on skates... one perhaps jogging... marooned on their pedestals at impossible heights... the front one is possibly more intriguing with its rutted and scarred surface... you see them up close and realize how unseemly they are... the colorful checkerboard across which they are moved, or not, serves the visual well... showing them of... i like this photogrtaph, quite enjoyable

Colorful and nicely composed  sharp focus and the BG with partial clouds enhances your subject. Well done. Love to know the history behind it. Regards, ifti.

many interpretations including that the world is a precipitous place - you could easily fall and who will notice? Very good work.

Tony, you gave a very interesting interpretation, I can only point on their relaxed and negligent attitude while they are going into an abyss! Very interesting! Thank you Tony!

Tony saw about what I saw...  People going about their mundane lives, oblivious to the collapse of the world around them.

I am painfully aware of this syndrome here in the Philippines...

Another creative masterpiece!

"Monuments" --- to sports, to people living at cross purposes, to communication without genuine connection between people, to people frozen in time and forgetting how to grow?  As colleagues have pointed out, this photograph - like all of your abstracts - are open to multiple interpretations.  That's why they are so impactful and powerful.

The composition is spot on!  I like your use of the same shapes and colors for the pedestals as those of the surface.

My best, as always..................

Actually Pierre I can accomodate Tony's interpretaton and Michael's....they both offer very valuable info regarding the populace in many parts of our world.  Here people talk on their cell phones oblivious to anyone around them and their own 'direction' in whatever mode of transportation.  And even while 'joggers' and 'roller bladers' seem relaxed, they are, but often not aware of what is going on around them.

Many use these 'recreational/health benefit' activities to relieve STRESS as well as for GENERAL Health Issues.  But I do know my daughter when things get too STRESSFUL at home, puts on her earphones, Ipod in hand, and just leaves the house and goes for a good run.  It raises her endorphin levels, and she arrives back home feeling much better to face the STRESS of her homelife.  It certainly helps lower her blood presssure which is quite high. But while listening to her tunes, I'm sure there are many things she is not aware of around her.  FANTASTIC statment to the SIGNS OF THE TIMES !  Although I do understand your intent and interpretation may be very different.  But that is what Art is all about.  We all see something very different that 'hits home' somewhere inside us. Thanks for sharing, Gail

I never thought, before reading the above comments, to try to analyze this shot for any meaning other than wondering  how anyone can have the artistic depth to put something like this surreal offering together.  It would be interesting to hear from you on your motivation and techniques in putting this together.  Bottom line:  it's an eye grabber.  Best, LM.

Len, this picture was meant to show the senselessness of a falling society which builds monuments to healthy life, communications and mobile phones (representing the commercials of all kinds) instead of managing the real problems in benefit of us all! I hope I was explicit enough with my explanation as I believe I am with my work, thank you for your visit and your sincere comment requiring answer! Cheers my friend!

i really like it.  you make such good use of things in the environment.  the figures are actually statues, right?  where did you find them?

I like it, but did not quite get the message you were trying to send here.  To me, the image comes across as being about the vanity of society.
