All Critiques welcome,

I'm still working on my lighting and posing.

Lighting, I have 3 speed lights, and 1 umbrella.

If you please give at least 1 thing I did right and 1 thing that needs

improvement.

Thanks

Chad

Lighting is fine, but she does look bored or annoyed. Try playing some music she likes. There are worms on the right side of her head.

...face of the model work separatly from the rest of the image

and could be easily cropped out for better result - buttom part of the image extrimly "heavy" and make the image unbalanced

Les: Worms?  stray hairs?

Serge: crop just below arm? remove knees from photo?

I'd like to think she wasn't too bored, we were having plenty of fun in the shoot. This just the expression for this photo.

C.,

A couple of suggestions for you --

Unless you want to move in for a tight shot, give her some room. You have cropped too closely to her left hand and her head.

Her posture doesn't look very good. She looks very slouched over. There is nothing wrong with being relaxed, but her posture looks a tad sloppy.

Avoid having the back of the hand towards the camera. The edge (side) of the hand towards the camera is thinning, feminine and graceful looking.

You might want to soften her face a bit to make her skin appear a little smoother.

She really doesn't look very happy, does she. The music idea is a good one.

Good sharpness, contrast, facial skin tone and catchlights, though. Your lighting is quite good, too. No reflections in her glasses--nicely done!

Nice shot,

Mark

Hehe.

Thanks for the helpful comments.  Here's the background, not meant to be an excuse.  She's sitting on my kids lil' tikes chair. Her mom and dad are poking fun at her from the couch, and I  am using my 85mm which isn't the right size for my undersized living room. :)

All things considered, I will make improvements for next time. I appreciate the comments, They are all details I can look out for next time.  My focus of the last few months has been lighting.  Now that I'm happy with recent results, I'm going to start with poses.  The comments on the hands, among other things, was very helpful.

Thanks
