You've used the tree to very good effect -- it nicely frames a good portion of the photo.  The uneven blue is caused, I'm quite sure, by use of a polarizing filter covering a wide portion of the sky.  Some people don't mind the uneven blue, but others find it to be too artificial.  Sometimes I think you tend to push just a bit too hard on the saturation sliders, and that ends up detracting from the photo rather than enhancing it, but that's just my personal opinion.  For example, the reflection of the red rock on the water just isn't convincing.  What was gained by your very nice composition has been compromised by the negative effects of the polarizing filter and the added saturation.
