This beautiful city is located at north west part of IRAN, with very

exceptional clear fresh air and vivid bright nights. Many thanks for

your views and comments.

Hamid, Nicely done. THe central building is really interesting and I like how the colors in it contrast to the background colors and particularly the sky.

The lighting in this photo is good, and sharpens is good too. I hope you would not mind me pointing out few things here, mainly my points are composition related.

I think that horizon being in the middle of the photo is not as effective as going by the rule of thirds.

The size of the building and the space it occupies in relation to the image is not optimum, the building looks too heavy in relation to its surroundings. To go around this problem its a common practice to photograph such "heavy" buildings looking at one of its corners and showing two sides instead of one side only, this might help in making the building mass looks lighter.

Cropping the upper antenna and the lower potion of the podium is distracting too. Buildings needs to have good space around them to be appreciated. You can have tight cropping but then it has to be meaningful.

The lack of a supportive object in this photo that counter balance this heavy building is distracting too.

The building itself does not make for a good photographic subject, you have many beautiful architectural/historical buildings in Iran that is worth photographing, this one IMHO is not one of them.

For all the above reason I rate the above photo with 5/7.

General note: Composition is very important in architectural photography, I think you can work on that.

Wish you all the best and good luck ;)

Hamid this is outstanding! Very sharp and alot of interesting details combined with beautiful nice colours and lights. I would have prefered the pole  on the front large building to be fully included in the frame.  Best regards and wishes . . .  John

The image is sharp, clear and I thought fairly well composed. Heider makes some interesting points about architechtural photography which I am not to familiar with and they did seem to make sense. But I still like the image for all it's good attributes. Take care Hamid.

Sincerely,

Holger

Hamid,

Very nice shot! it is clear and well exposed and I like the dynamics of the image given by the perspective and life in the city. May not follow rules of architectural composition, but good to break rules and explore!

Heider makes some valid points about this image, the one I would agree most with is the cropping of the lower part of the image, I think perhaps it lacks roots (if that makes sense). Having said that I think there is a lot to be positive about too, it's sharp, colourful, and well exposed. As for the aesthetic nature of the main building, well...... I like it, there may be other buildings more worthy of attention, but surely thats subjective, and quite possibly Hamid has sought to be different in his choice of main subject. Suffice to say I think the merits overcome the shortcomings, but then...thats just my 2 pennies worth.

Kind Regards

Alf

Lots of great advice on this very appealing image and from which i learned a thing or two. The only thing I would advise is to shoot within the first hour after the sun sets.
